        Qinghai is a province in northwest China which is dominated by mountains and plateaus and thus ischaracterized with an amazing average altitude of over 3,000 metres. Oinghai is named after the QinghaiLake. the largest saltwater lake in China, which is well recognized as the most beautiful lake in China, one of the most popular tourist attractions and the heaven for photographers and other artists.

        Qinghai features grand landscapes, vast territory and rich resources. The abundant reserves in oil and natural gas have contributed to the rapid economic development of many cities in the province.         黄土高原(the Loess Plateau)是中国第三大高原,面积约 60 万平方公里,平均海拔 1000-2000米,绝大部分覆盖着50-80米厚的黄土,是世界上黄分布最集中,覆盖厚度最大的区域。这是大然创造的一个奇迹,在世界上也是绝无仅有的。
        黄土高原是中华民族的发祥地之一。早在5500年前,人们就已经在黄土高原上开始农耕。随着农耕业的持续发展,黄土高原人口不断增加,在秦汉时期就成为中国的政治和经济中心。如今,随着西部大开发战略的实施,黄土高原地区的经济得到了迅速发展。

        The Loess Plateau is the third largest plateau in China, with an area of about 600, 000 square kilometers and an average altitude of 1, 000 -2, 000 meters. Most of it is covered by loess with a thickness of 50 - 80 meters. It is the region with the concentrated loess distribution and the largest coverage thickness in the world. This is a miracle created by natut and is unique in the world.

        The Loess Plateau is one of the birthplaces of the Chinese nation. As early as 5, 500 years ago, people began farming on it. With the continuous development of farming, the population of the Loess Plateau has been increasing, and it has become the political and economic center of China during the Qin and Han dynasties. Nowadays, with the implementation of the Western Development Strategy, the economy of the Loess Plateau region has developed rapidly.

        延安位于陕西省北部,地处黄河中游,是中国革命的圣地。毛泽东等老一辈革命家曾在这里生活战斗了十三个春秋,领导了抗日战争和解放战争,培育了延安精神,为中国革命做出了巨大贡献。延安的革命旧址全国数量最大、分布最广、级别最高。延安是全国爱国主义、革命传统、延安精神教育基地。延安有9个革命纪念馆,珍藏着中共中央和老一辈革命家延安时期留存下来的大量重要物品,因此享有“中国革命博物馆城”的美誉。

        Located in the northern part of Shanxi Province and in the middle reaches of the Yellow River, Yan' an is the sacred land of Chinese Revolution. The old generation of revolutionaries such as Mao Zedong lived and fought here for thirty years , leading the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression and the War of Liberation, cultivating the spirit of Yan'an, and making great contribution to the Chinese revolution. With the largest number of revolutionary sites that are distributed widest and have the highest level in the country,Yan'an is a national base for patriotism ,revelutionary tradition and spiritual education. There are nine revolutionary memorial halls, which hold a large number of important items left by the Central Commitee of the Communist Party of China (CPC) and the old generation of revolutionaries during the Yan'an period, so it enjoys the reputation of the museum city of Chinese revolution.

        井冈山地处湖南、江西两省交界处,因其辉煌的革命历史被誉为“中国革命红色摇篮”。1927 年10月,毛泽东朱德等老一辈革命家率领中国工农红军来到这里,开展了艰苦卓绝的斗争,创建了第一个农村革命根据地,点燃了中国革命的星星之火,开辟了“农村包围(besiege)城市,武装夺取政权”这一具有中国特色的革命道路,中国革命从这里迈向胜利。井冈山现有 100 多处革命旧址，成为一个“没有围墙的革命历史博物馆”,是爱国主义和革命传统教育的重要基地。

        Jinggangshan, located at the boundary between Hunan Province and Jiangxi Province, is well recognized as “ the red cradle of Chinese revolution ”. In October, 1927, the old generation of revolutionaries including Mao Zedong and Zhu De led the Chinese Workers'and Peasants' Army here, where they fought bitterly to found the first rural revolution base , ignite the sparks of Chinese revolution, and blaze a revolutionary trail with Chinese characteristics to "besiege the cities from the countryside and seize the state power with military force". It is right from here that the Chinese revolution has marched to success. With over 100 revolutionary sites, Jinggangshan has become a walless museum of the Chinese revolutionhistory and an important base for patriotism and education of revolutionary traditions.

        青藏铁路是世界上最高最长的高原铁路,全长 1,956 公里,其中有 960 公里在海拔4,000 多米之上,是连接西藏和中国其他地区的第一条铁路。由于铁路穿越世界上最脆弱的生态系统,在建设期间和建成后都采取了生态保护措施,以确保其成为一条“绿色铁路”。青藏铁路大大缩短了去往西藏的旅行时间。更重要的是,它极大地促进了西藏的经济发展,改善了当地居民的生活。铁路开通后,愈来愈多的人选择乘火车前往西藏,这样还有机会欣赏沿线的美景。

        The Qinghai-Tibet railway or Qingzang railway, with a total length of 1956 kilometers and 960 kilometers at 4,000 meters above sea level, is the world's longest high-elevation railway and the first railway that connects Tibet and other regions of China. Since the railway runs through the most fragile ecosystem in the world, measures have been takan to protect the ecoogical environmert. during and after its construction to ensure that it's a “Creen Railway". The railway greatly shortens the traveling time between Tibet and the inland areas of China. More importantly, it accelerates economic growth of Tibet and promotes the living standard of the local residents in a profound way.  After the launch of the ailway, more and more travelers take the train to visit Tibet,obtaining an opportunity to enjoy the beautifuil scenery along the way.

北京大兴国际机场位于天安门广场以南46 公里处,于2019 年9月30日投使用。该巨型工程于2014 年开工建设,高峰时工地上有4 万多工人。航站楼设计紧凑,可以允许最大数量的飞机直接停靠在最靠近航站楼中心的位置,这给乘客提供了极大的方便。航站楼共有 82 个登机口,但乘客通过安检后，只需不到8分钟就能抵达任何一个登机口。机场的设计可确保每小时 300 架次起降。机场年客运量2040年将达到1亿人次，有望成为世界上最繁忙的机场。

        Located 46 kilometers south of Tian'anmen Square, Bejing Daxing International Airport was put in to operation on Sept. 30 2019, Construction of the giant project began in 2014, with more than 40,000 workers on the site at its peak. The compact design of the terminal allows the maximum number of aircrafts to be parked directly near its centre, providing passengers with great convenience. The terminal has a tolal of 82 boarding gates, but passengers can get to any of them within 8 minutes after passing through the security check. The design of the airport can ensure 300 take-ofls and landings per hour.The annual passenger volume of the airport is expected to reach 100 million in 2040, making it the busiest airport in the world.

        中国共产党第一次全国代表大会会址位于上海兴业路76 号,是一栋典型的上海式住宅,建于1920年秋。1921年7月23日中国共产党第一次全国代表大会在此召开,大会通过了中国共产党的第一个纲领和第一个决议,选举产生了中央领导机构,宣告了中国共产党的诞生。1952年9月中共一大会址修复,建立纪念馆并对外开放。纪念馆除了介绍参加一大的代表之外,还介绍党的历史发展进程,现已成为了解党史、缅怀革命先烈的爱国主义教育基地。

        Built in the autumn of 1920 and sited at No. 76 Xingye Road in Shanghai, a typical Shanghai-style residence was selected for the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China ( CPC). July 23.1921 witnessed the success of the First National Congress of the CPC. with the adoption of the first guiding principle and the first resolution of the Communist Party of China, the election of the central leading body, and the proclamation of the birth of the CPC. In September 1952, the site was restored, and a memorial hall was established and opened to the public. In addition to introducing the deputies attending the Congress, the memorial hall also presents to people the historical development process of the CPC. Now it has become apatriotism education base for knowing the history of the CPC and commemorating our revolutionary martyrs.

        港珠澳大桥(Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge)全长55公里,是我国一项不同寻常的工程壮举大桥将三个城市连接起来,是世界上最长的跨海桥梁和隧道系统。大桥将三个城市之间的旅行时间从3小时缩短到30分钟。这座跨度巨大的钢筋混凝大桥充分证明中国有能力建造创纪录的巨型建筑。它将助推区域一体化,促进经济增长。大桥是中国发展自己的大湾区总体规划的关键。中国希望将大湾区建成在技术创新和经济繁荣上能与旧金山、纽约和东京的湾区相媲美的地区。

        Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge, with a total length of 55 kilometers, is an extraordinary engineering feat in our country. By connecting three cities together, it is the longest sea-crossing bridge and tunnel system in the world. The bridge cuts the road travel time among three cities from three hours to thirty minutes. The huge span of the reinforced concrete bridge fully proves Chinese ability to build the record-setting mega structure. It will boost both regional integration and economic growth. The bridge is crucial for China to develop its own master plan for the Greater Bay Area, which is expected to rival San Francisco Bay Area, New York Bay Area and Tokyo Bay Area in terms of technological innovation and economie prosperity.

        青藏高原(the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau)位于中国西南部面积约230万平方公里,平均海拔4000米以上,被称为“世界屋脊”。青藏高原自然资源丰富,风景秀丽,拥有多种珍稀野生动物。青藏高原气温很低,形成了大面积高山冰川。这里是亚洲许多著名河流的源头,是中国和东南亚的主要淡水供应源。青藏高原对全球生态系统至关重要。

        The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, located in the southwest of China, covers an area of 2.3 million square kilometers, with an average altitude of more than 4, 000 meters, and is known as the “roof of the world". The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is rich in natural resources, beautiful scenery and a variety of rare wild animals. The temperature in the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau isvery low, forming a large area of alpine glaciers. It is the source of many of Asia's most famous rivers and a major source of fresh water for China and Southeast Asia. The Qinghai-Tibet Plateau is vital to the global ecosystem.

        Glaciers on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau are melting at an accelerating rate due to climate change. As China has been trying to protect the ecosystem of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, grassland coverage has been increasing and many endangered species have been more effectively protected.

        云贵高原(the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau)大部分位于云南贵州省境内,总面积约50万平方公里平均海拔2000-4000 米,是中国第四大高原。云贵高原西高东低,河流众多,形成了许多又深又陡的
峡谷(canyon)。峡谷中许多地方土壤肥沃,非常有利于多种农作物生长。

        云贵高原独特的自然环境造就了生物和文化的多样性。它是中国森林和矿产资源类型十分丰富的地区,也是古人类起源的重要地区。云贵高原是中国少数民族数量最多的地区,各民族都保留了自已丰富多样的文化传统。

        Most of the Yunnan-Guizhou lateau is located in Yunnan and Guizhou provinces, with a total area of about 500,000 square kilometers and an average altitude of 2, 000 -4, 000 meters. It is the fourth largest plateau in China. The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is high in the west and low in the east, with numerous rivers, forming many deep and steep canyons。Many of the canyons have fertile soil, which is very conducive to the growth of a variety of crops.

        The unique natural environment of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau has created biological and cultural diversity. lt is an area with abundant forest and mineral resources in China，and is also an important area for the origin of ancient humans. The Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau is home to the largest number of ethnic minorities in China, and each ethnic group has retained its own rich and diverse cultural traditions.
